140 - Retail Upgrade

140 is an exciting food and drink precinct located on the ground floor of 140 William Street in the Perth CBD and situated above Perth underground railway station. The development incorporates fully-restored heritage buildings, major street frontages, the Railway Lane (Pedestrian Mall), Globe Court and Postal Place (Civic Places). A number of renowned restaurants and bars already trade at 140 such as: Jamie’s Italian, Iku Sushi and The Aviary.

The building works required careful integration and understanding of the cultural and heritage requirements along with the challenges presented when working within a tenanted building.

The electrical scope involved:

  • Final design and installation of all power and lighting
  • Integration of lighting & art pieces
  • Extension and upgrade of Electronic Lighting Control System
  • Supply and installation of site distribution boards and submains
  • Design and installation of AS1670 Fire detection system
  • Reconfiguration and upgrade to the CCTV system
  • Heritage works associated with the Globe and Baird Building
  • Ways of finding signage
